This was a turning point in my life. This was taken from a guest room at New Camaldoli Hermitage in Big Sur, California. This is where I discovered the liturgy of the hours and finally found some peace after 15 years of being a Christian without a church. I still visit churches but my home church convenes every time my prayerbook opens. Which, after 5 years, I can say is still satisfying. As I grow deeper, the liturgy grows deeper. I still look forward to my prayer times.

Gorgeous. I'm planning a visit here too. Can you tell me which room this is?
I'm sorry. Your comment got buried in all the SPAM I get. Your visit is probably long over. If not, let's see, we were chapel-ward of the kitchen. The wife was between me and the kitchen (as usual). That would put her in #5 and me in #6 in the retreat house. If you've already been there and done that - tell me about your trip.
